Fully taking advantage of the hallmark silhouette’s 40th anniversary in conjunction with the Beaverton-based brand own observance of 50 years, lavish aesthetics and builds are being employed with just a few months left in the year. Mirroring the utility aesthetics of the AF1 “Chocolate Brown” flavor, premium embellishments wash over the latest silhouette through debossed leather heel panels and raised tongue tabs alongside treating the entirety of the model’s typical smooth leather uppers in a buttery nubuck. Dominated by dipping its upper panels in “Wolf Grey” hues, further color-matched aspects include the laces and tongue construction while the midfoot Checks proffer a slightly lighter contrast. Further brightening the proposition, a clad “Summit” sole unit resides underfoot whereas the insoles remain disparate, bearing dark sage branding.
If you’re a sneaker person you’ll appreciate the build quality on these. Clean lines, solid construction, comfortable insole. Definitely picking up another pair soon.
