Released as a new colorway in the first retro run of the Air Jordan 8 in 2003, the ‘Chrome’ colorway is best known for its on-court appearance by Kobe Bryant during the 2003 NBA playoffs when he threw down one of the most vicious dunks of all time. The Air Jordan 8 ‘Chrome’ was retroed in 2015 as part of Nike’s Holiday 2015 collection that included two other Air Jordan 8 colorways — the OG ‘Aqua’ and ‘Three Times A Charm’. The Air Jordan 8 ‘Chrome’ features an all-black upper in smooth and perforated nubuck, and gets it ‘chrome’ name due to the chrome detailing on the buckle of the strap.
If you’re a sneaker person you’ll appreciate the build quality on these. Clean lines, solid construction, comfortable insole. Definitely picking up another pair soon.
Rare to find a shoe that’s both this comfortable and this stylish. These check both boxes easily. Will definitely be ordering again.
